40 Shillings On The Drum bring their ‘Early Days’ tour to Birmingham on Monday 5th February 2018 with an appearance at The Night Owl.
Off the back of an extremely successful 2017, which included festival appearances, a globally-viral music video, and a high-profile collaboration with a charity in their hometown of Brighton, the folk-ROCK band are hitting the road to take the essence of their charity campaign across the country, and hosting fundraisers in the cities they visit.
‘The band and I want to give something back and raise awareness of the issue of loneliness and social isolation.’ -

The night will be headlined by Sam Draisey - a singer/songwriter from the West Midlands, England. His music has, in the classic singer/songwriter style, many influences and muses, with particular attention paid to the story telling qualities and political nature of his songs. His notable influences include Frank Turner, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon and Johnny Cash as well as other more traditional folk artists.
Kicking the night off will be Devils - a Birmingham based band playing no frills, balls-out alternative melodic pop punk rock'n'roll!
The artists will be raising funds for Birmingham Mind on the night and a percentage of ticket sales with go to the charity.
