Hoping to shake up Birmingham's culinary circles, Smultronställe serves a concept that's focused primarily on showcasing the very best seasonal ingredients and produce Britain has to offer, through the medium of crafted cocktails and delicate small plates.

The bar itself is incredibly secretive. Purposely choosing to not advertise its address, guests will first have to make a booking, before being sent the exact location of the venue, which we are led to believe will be around the City Arcade. Once inside, the cosy 10-cover spot will seat visitors around the bar - in order to create a micro-environment - before showcasing their finest and most bizarre creations.

When translated, this bar has an exotic name that means 'place of the wild strawberries'. And with the same level of quirk and character, its head bartender, Robert Wood, has curated a two tasting menus of exquisite cocktails and bar snacks. To ensure that the best seasonal ingredients are showcased in full, drinks are only available as part of the tasting menu.
