Chung Ying Central

Description

Residing in Birmingham's elusive Colmore Row, Chung Ying Central is an oriental restaurant and Asian style cocktail bar whipping up eastern flavours and international flair.

Sister venue to the award-winning Chung Ying Cantonese and Chung Ying Garden, the central location boasts a clear nod to its oriental roots. Thanks to a selection of Asian warrior statues, bamboo hand fans and lattice lampshades, it retains a wholly contemporary feel throughout. From the purple hue of the main cocktail bar to the rich dark mahogany furniture and exposed brickwork of the restaurant that is found beside it, Chung Ying Central maintains a slick approach which echoes the district it resides in.

It wouldn't be Chung Ying Central without a little oriental chow now would it? From classic dim sum and sweet steamed buns the like to pan-Asian noodles, Chung Ying Central is a taste of the East; All to be washed down with their collection of Asian beer the likes of Tsingtao and a selection of Asian inspired cocktails (nab two of these suckers for the price of one between 5-7pm every day).

Chung Ying Central - Restaurant Bar Review

With two thriving restaurants already dominating Birmingham’s Chinese Quarter, I knew that Chung Ying Central was going to be something; And I certainly wasn't disappointed. Combining Cantonese cooking with an Asian style cocktail bar, they’ve hit the nail on the head for a Chinese restaurant…
