The Beckford Bottle Shop
Situated in the most beautiful part of Bath, a short walk from the centre, this is the latest venture from the owners of three of the best foodie country pubs in the South West (The Beckford Arms, The Talbot Inn and The Lord Poulett).
The Beckford Bottle Shop (BBS) offers informal, inventive small plate dining (British Tapas), British charcuterie and cheeses, alongside an enormous range of wine in lovely surroundings and all served by staff who really care about great hospitality.
This is an elegant but informal place where Bath locals come for lunch or supper or just pop-in for a great glass of wine and a tasty snack. The inspiration came from the sort of places more commonly found in continental Europe but that are seldom found in the U.K. Proof that Brexit does not necessarily mean Brexit!
In the evenings, there is also a cellar lounge downstairs with low armchairs and sofas. There are regular wine talks, private dining, fast wifi and in the warmer months outside seating on Saville Row itself. All the wine shop’s wines can be opened for a simple corkage charge giving unusually reasonable prices and enormous variety. On Sundays there is a brunch menu.
