Anglers

Description

The Anglers has existed since the mid-18th century in various forms – mainly as an Inn, Hotel and latterly Public house. The place was popular among local fishermen, who would spend hours on the river shore. Acquired by Fuller, Smith and Turner Brewery of Chiswick around 2010.

A weir was in place on the Thames at Teddington by 1345, although it was destroyed about 1535. A new lock was opened in 1811. Since 1811, the weir has marked the end of the tidal reach of the river. Before 1811, the tide used to go as far upriver as Walton, and occasionally even to Staines.

Recently refurbished in modern rustic style, The Anglers is Teddington’s top new destination for dinner and drinks. Enjoy a beer in the new-look bar, savour delicious fresh food in the conservatory restaurant - or head for the glorious riverside garden to soak up the summer sun. Long renowned as one of the best places to eat in Teddington, The Anglers serves up superb fresh pub food in a relaxed riverside setting. Either in the lovely conservatory restaurant or out in the garden itself, you can enjoy a superb selection of dishes from our main menu, crafted wherever possible from locally sourced produce. It’s all the work of Andrew Heffernan and his talented kitchen team, who change the menu regularly to make the very most of seasonal ingredients.

Whether you're looking to book a room for private dining, host a business meeting or arrange a party or celebration, The Anglers in Teddington has you covered. We have different areas and rooms available to book, enquire today and our team will do the hard work for you. With some incredible private-hire spaces inside and out, The Anglers in Teddington is one of the area’s finest venues for a party, event or group gathering.
