Ham Yard Hotel
This event has taken place
Passionate pioneers of London’s artisan gin renaissance, Sipsmith, famous for its award-winning London Dry Gin, have teamed up with the stylish Ham Yard Hotel in the heart of Soho to serve gin-laced winter warmers on the hotel’s hidden roof terrace. As the frost creeps in across London, wrap up in woollen blankets on the impeccably designed rooftop garden, enjoy sweeping views over the London skyline, and find yourself sipping on historically inspired hot gin serves including Hot G&T’s and Steaming Juleps.
Transporting the enchantment of London winters past to modern day, creative duo Sipsmith Master Distiller Jared Brownand Ham Yard Hotel bar manager Eoin Kenny have delved into London's drinking past – from as early as the 16th century right through to the 1920s – to craft a very modern sipping menu. Warm serves will include The Smoking Bishop, a favourite of Charles Dickens; The Original, a pairing of gin with gingerbread, noted as the first London pairing during the Frost Fairs; and the Soho Gin Broth, which uses Barthelmas beef taken from a recipe dated 1664.
The pop-up will run from Tuesday 26th January until Sunday 14th February (excluding Mondays) in timed sessions. Tickets cost £14 per person, which includes your first tipple on arrival and an introduction by one of the Sipsmith Distillery team.
