Description
The Eagle & Child is a 17th Century Grade II* listed timber framed pub situated in the heart of York with spectacular views of the York Minster and the High Petergate bar. Spread over three floors, the building offers unique and quirky spaces for customers to explore. As well as containing a well-hidden beer garden, there is also a hidden treasure of the Rolling Stones’ signatures (stereotypically written in red lipstick) on our top floor wall. All these amazing spaces are available for private hire so there is sure to be something for your event whatever the occasion.
The pub offers a range of quality cask ales and craft beer, as well as a solid wine menu. It is known for its “Steak & Jazz” affairs every Thursday and cosy feels, popular with York residents and tourists alike. The food menu seasonally changes, providing up to date dishes that will be sure to please all.
