Description
A side-splitting comedy cabaret. “Laugh with us at the serious business of being female!” Joana Eden and Leigh McDonald manage to spend a whole evening laughing, crying and even singing about it. Join them on an oestrogen-driven, emotional-roller-coaster ride…
...from pigtails to puberty, stilettos to strollers, marriage to messing-it-up. With candid, poignant and irreverent original songs, The Unbearable Pleasure of Being a Woman is the brain-child of singer/songwriter (and mentor to Sam Smith) Joanna Eden and West End and National Theatre actress Leigh McDonald who combine their own musical compositions with top-class musical theatre and a funky jazz repertoire.
Don’t miss this lovely pair as they trundle the length and breadth of the county; from the Brighton Fringe to the Edinburgh Festival and back again, shaking up the shires and cities as they go!
