Ricci’s Place is a true, family-run, independent restaurant in the heart of Halifax. When they opened their doors back in 2011, their philosophy was to serve fantastic, fresh and seasonal food from an open kitchen and to provide an environment for guests that offers a warm, inviting hub that they would want to return to time and time again.

And 10 years on, Ricci’s Place are still living that dream. Popular with locals as well as diners from up and down the country, their offering has also enticed many food critics, musicians and actors, including the one and only Robert de Niro.

Guests pile in for bowls of handcrafted pasta, fresh fish and seafood cooked in delicate sauces, their juicy, locally sourced chargrilled meats and homemade desserts that you simply cannot find outside of Italy. Ricci’s Place celebrates simple ingredients and soulful cooking, honouring the many Italian grandmothers who cooked before them.
