Bangkok Bistro is rooted in the vibrant traditions of Southern Thailand, thanks to the heritage and culinary passion of Suraya, our founder. Suraya grew up in a small village just outside Surat, where food was much more than a daily necessity- it was a way of life for her family and everyone in the community.

Her grandmother’s home was always filled with aromas of fresh fish and fragrant spices, ingredients sourced from the family’s own fish farm and local markets. longside their fish farming, the family ran a humble shop and takeaway, serving authentic Thai dishes to neighbours and friends. This strong connection to food - nurtured through hands-on experience and daily gatherings - shaped Suraya’s commitment to sharing her culture through cuisine.
