Because of the size, comfort and the dimensions of the main house, Summer Lodge is ideally suited for private house parties. What better way could there be for celebrating a special occasion than in the environment of a private country house, without having to lift a finger?

A typical exclusive use weekend could take the form of:

• A delicious Afternoon Tea on arrival. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather for the first time and greet friends and relatives. A buffet consisting of warm scones, rich Dorset clotted cream, local strawberry jam, a selection of sandwiches including smoked salmon, cucumber, tomato and Cheddar, and egg mayonnaise with local watercress, as well as a variety of cakes, meringues, tartlets and pastries, is created in the Restaurant and enjoyed in the comfort of the Drawing Room until 5.30pm, served with your choice of tea or coffee.
• An informal lunch served in the atmospheric surrounds of the 17th Century Acorn Inn, just a short walk from the hotel through the very beautiful village of Evershot.
• A delicious breakfast the next morning, consisting of a buffet of fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt, salmon, cold cuts, cheese and breads, alongside a menu of cooked to order dishes on the Full English breakfast menu, and tea and coffee, served in the Restaurant until 11am.
• A sumptuous dinner that evening would be served in the Dining Room. Preceded by aperitifs and canapés in the Drawing Room or outdoors on the patio, a three or four-course menu of your choosing is served by the amazing team, followed by coffee and petit fours. There's an extensive list of performers that can be called upon to provide entertainment throughout the evening.

We have different pricing structures, depending on the time of the year as well as the time of the week. On most weekends, we require a minimum of a two night stay.

Exclusive use does not include the Spa, since it is open to private health club membership. However, the Spa is detached from the hotel, and entry is therefore separate and not gained through the hotel. The exclusive events team is very experienced and includes the organiser, Head Chef and Cellar Master. They would be delighted to discuss your requirements and create an event that will captivate and suit you perfectly.

Make business a pleasure in the fully equipped Dorchester Suite located in the Courtyard House of Summer Lodge Hotel, Dorset. Suitable for private meetings, receptions, lunches and dinners, it can seat 14 people in a boardroom style as well as 24 theatre style providing an intimate environment in which to focus your attention.
