Pompette

Description

Modern French brasserie Pompette sits pretty in Oxford's Summertown neighbourhood, serving up Gallic classics with the occasional influence from elsewhere in Europe thrown in. And to top it all off? Pompette is the French word for tipsy, so you can be sure to find good humour in this stylish spot too.

Owners Pascal and Laura Wiedemann have combined their flare for fine food and design to create a gorgeous restaurant and wine bar, where you'll get your lips around seasonal European dishes in swish interiors. Pascal's classical training in French cookery means each dish tastes like a fine dining delicacy, but with all the comfort of a family meal. Enjoy everything from duck breast with glazed carrots and rosemary to Venetian style calves liver served with soft polenta.

Book yourself into the swanky Salon Privé for a private dinner gorging on the chef's indulgent feasting menus. This banquet is meant to be shared with your nearest and dearest, but you really won't want to.
