Finbar's Of West Bay

Finbars Restaurant is an independently owned restaurant awarded 2 AA rosettes in May 2024 for culinary excellence. We specialise in fresh fish sourcing locally so it is as fresh as possible. It can come from the sea in the morning and be served at lunchtime in Finbars! 

We are open all year round, however on a summers day our capacity doubles and we can cater for 50 covers inside and an additional 50 covers outside. 

The restaurant is over looking West Bay in Westgate-on-sea between Margate and Birchington and just a short journey from trendy Broadstairs. Our uninterrupted panoramic views through floor to ceiling glass windows have customers gasping as they enter the restaurant. The sunsets seen from the restaurant were painted by Turner and are jaw dropping.

We have fantastic links to Medway and are located only 20 minutes journey from Herne Bay and Whitstable. The venue is an hour and 20 minute train journey from London for those that fancy a day trip to the coast. 

We are open Thursday to Sunday offering our a la carte menu. Menus include starters, mains and desert options and include fish, meat, vegan and gluten free options on each section. We specialise in fresh fish and locally sourced cuisine with seasonal menus as well as daily specials.

We are famous for our scotch egg staters and our fillet of hake was a favourite for customers travelling from miles around to try!
