Description
Palm Brasserie is a modern, destination dining venue just outside of Basingstoke and is situated between Oakley and Overton on the busy Andover Road (B3400). The venue is a magnificent transformation of the former Deane Gate Inn, a historic venue on this route which is soaked in its history as a coach inn and its association with Jane Austen.
The venue has been aesthetically designed with multiple private dining zones, a beautiful main restaurant area that can cater to couples and groups. It also has an outdoor/alfresco area to seat another 40-50, great for summer months and sunny days for dining out. As such, the venue is versatile to host large family socials or corporate gatherings as well as wedding receptions, baby showers, etc.
They offer the following services:
All-day dining with service hours from 12 noon to 10 pm on most days, and up to 11pm on Saturdays.
An exhaustive a la carte menu with an international selection of dishes to cater to everyone's taste, with their own special twist on certain recipes, fused with unique Asian/Indian flavours.
An Afternoon Tea service on all days, from 12 noon to 5pm - with 3 offerings (standard, cocktail and champagne versions of Afternoon Tea). They pride themselves on their signature Afternoon Tea which is also known for its special take on the savoury bites (veg and non-veg) in place of the traditional sandwiches to go with the sweet treats
A Sunday roast menu for Sunday lunches which is very popular.
Cocktail Masterclass sessions for groups, a perfect pre-meal event for family or corporate groups (a great team-building activity too).
Special menus for special occasions (Valentine's, Mother's, Father's Day, etc.)
Bespoke Group / Party / Taster set menus for large party groups to make the most of your night with here.
Exclusive Hire of their entire venue to add your own personal stamp to the evening (e.g. wedding receptions, corporate gatherings, etc.)

Our spectacular AUSTEN ROOM is a modern and magnificient Private Dining Room, with a view to the theatre kitchen on the one end and overlooking our beautoful Alfresco on the other end. There is also the option for a chef's table and interactions for when opting one of for our Tasting Menus (highly recommended experience). The Austen Room is a great favourite among both family, social and corporate groups for their special occasions, team events and get togethers. The venue can accomodate 28-30 persons seated, and we can have larger occupany for standing with canape / finger food type menus.

Our cozy lounge is at the entrance end of our venue, besides our Grand Bar. The cosy lounge celebrates the legacy and history of our venue as an ertshile coach inn. The venue itself is the actual erstwhile part of the Inn with the original features such as the arch windows. The private room is dotted with paintings and artefacts celebrating its history as a coach inn and its association with Jane Austen. Soft sofa seating and cushions form part of the decor, which would make you feel at home in the comfort of this cozy lounge. Being adjacent to the bar, the cozy lounge is a perfect spot for our cocktail Masterclass groups. Our entire venue has a large and purpose built footprint across 5 zones, which offer very spacious and flexible seating for evey occasion: 1. Main Restaurant : Tables and booths of various sizes to seat couples and families to party groups (2-15 persons per seating type), the sntire restaurant area can comfortably accomodate 75-80 persons. 2. AUSTEN ROOM: Our signature private dining room, with twin views into our theatre kitchen and patio / alfresco. Can seat 30 persons (seated) or upto 50 persons (standing) for canapes / finger good type menus. 3. COZY LOUNGE: Is a private space next to the Grand Bar. Can accomodate 40 seated and upto 60 standing# 4. ALFRESCO / PATIO / GARDEN AREA : Our outdoor dining space, best for sunny days out. Can accomodate 40 seated and upto 60 standing 5. GRAND BAR : Can host cocktail masterclasses or groups out for a drink. Upto 10 seated/standing Depending on your event type, we could have the venue part hired, where a section of the venue would be closed for public bookings. This would work best for sizes beyond 40 (which can otherwise be accomodated in our private rooms). Ideally suited for week days (Mon-Thu), other days maybe enquired based on the committed spend levels (and based on availability). These type of hires are best done in advance with plenty of notice so we can close out bookings on those days on the spaces needed. We have also had a few occasions where the ENTIRE venue has been EXCLUSIVELY hired to put your own personal stamp on your event. these generally tend to be wedding receptions or larger events (with a min of 100 persons, or equivalent committed spend).
