From Glynn Purnell, the Michelin-starred chef behind his eponymous eatery in Birmingham, comes Purnell’s Café & Bistro. Found at Coventry's Charterhouse, one of the city's most historic buildings, it boasts a warm yet stylish feel, with bare-brick walls, oak-coloured rafters and a long row of tall windows bringing in lots of lovely light.
Plus, with a field-to-fork menu, the restaurant slings out a droolworthy lineup of authentic Spanish small plates, from pan-roasted seabream with tomato and olive salsa to butterbean cassoulet and porky belly. Or if you just fancy some light bites, you can also nab deli-style sandwiches and cakes during the day.
