An independent, family-friendly pub in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, The George combines cosy character with a sunny patio, secret beer garden and craft beer brewed right on site.
Tuck into street food favourites from Odey's — think stacked burgers, loaded fries and mac ‘n’ cheese — served every Thursday to Sunday. In the cooler months, our famous Sunday roasts return every autumn and winter, bringing comforting full roast dinners to your end-of-week wind-down.
We pour fresh pints from our very own on-site Fonthill Brewing Co — a tucked-away nano brewery that keeps the good stuff flowing. Inside the George, you’ll find real fires, a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space to gather with friends and family.
Our former taproom and cocktail bar is now available exclusively for private bookings and functions in our converted stable block — perfect for celebrations, work dos, or just gathering your favourite people in one cosy place.
