Crown Inn

Nestled in the heart of Bishop’s Waltham, The Crown Inn is a 16th-century Fuller’s coaching inn steeped in history and charm. With its exposed timber beams, ancient stone-floored interiors, and character-filled rooms, it offers a warm welcome in a picturesque Hampshire setting.

The Crown blends tradition with comfort: you’ll enjoy seasonal, refined pub classics crafted from fresh local ingredients, alongside Fuller’s renowned ales, a choice of fine wines, and a drink selection that delights both casual visitors and connoisseurs.

Upstairs, eight beautifully styled boutique bedrooms await, each offering snug, quiet retreats - perfect for countryside breaks or escaping the city. Plush finishes and thoughtful touches ensure a restful stay.

Steeped in heritage, The Crown has hosted guests of many eras - most notably Admiral Villeneuve following the Battle of Trafalgar - and carries stories through its walls and blue plaque. Whether you’re here for Sunday lunch, dinner with friends, or a special stay, The Crown Inn combines historic character with Fuller’s signature hospitality.
