Quip Shed Comedy are delighted to
be back in Wendover for a Christmas Comedy Special, with a stellar
line-up of the best comedians on the UK comedy circuit! Starring
David Tsonos, Freya McGhee, host Lyle Barke, and headliner; TV's
Marcel Lucont!
Strictly 18+ only and
line-up is subject to change.
If you want serious comedy David Tsonos is not your man. His comedy stems from being the youngest of five boys, babysitting ...his nephews and his cat. Whether it’s a Bar gig, a Comedy Club or a Corporate function David makes them laugh until they can laugh no more. (Well maybe a little more.) Starting off in Canada in 1999 and now making London UK his home he has performed in over 15 countries.
Freya McGhee is a hotly tipped comedian whose relatable material blends science, dating, and modern life. She is a Leicester Mercury finalist and has supported Helen Bauer on tour.
Freya has gigged extensively at comedy clubs across the UK as a solo performer and is one half of the smash hit live show 'Comedians in STEM' which had a complete sell out Edinburgh Fringe run before transferring to London and again, selling out both The Bill Murray & Backyard Comedy. The night is a celebration of all things science, technology, engineering, maths and general nerdy stand-up that is fast becoming a cult favourite and amassing a devoted fanbase.
Her comedy draws on her background in chemistry and the ups and downs of modern dating, topics which have struck a chord online. Her reels have reached millions - especially among audiences who like their humour with a bit of brains.
"Funny, inventive and naïve enough to think a quote from me will shift tickets." – Rhys James
"Freya is one of those acts that whenever I’m on the bill with her, it’s like ‘OH HELL YES!’ She is so funny." – Helen Bauer
“Freya was perfect for compering our Science Comedy Extravaganza in Liverpool as part of the British Science Festival. She kept the audience lively throughout and expertly shepherded our line-up of scientist/comedians across the evening.” – James Brown, British Science Association
Marcel Lucont is without question the greatest UK-based French comedian around.
This multi-award-deserving flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur is currently touring the world, charming women and insulting the stupid. His deadpan stand-up, world-class sex poetry and bawdy chansons have been a huge hit all over Europe, Australasia and America and he has improved many a TV show along the way, including:
