Open Bar Theatre, the team behind Fuller's Shakespeare in the Garden are back, bringing the fun to Fuller's pubs with a 4 person performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ this December.

On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter old miser, is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley. Desperate to convince him of the error of his ways, Marley sends three ghosts to lead Scrooge through his past, present and future. The spirit (or spirits in this case) of Christmas will be brought to life in this classic tale. In true Open Bar style, this show will be family friendly, engaging and full of laughs. Expect Victorian costume, ghostly apparitions and, of course, barrels of Christmas cheer.

A Christmas Carol is suitable for all age groups

Great involvement of the audience throughout the performance. A massive thank you for an amazing evening’ I was really impressed by this production - the 4 actors were superb at creating atmosphere and telling the classic story (with a few surprise twists!) I highly recommend this for a fun festive night out with a difference!. ‘Fantastic, went with my sons aged 9 and 6 who were entranced!’ A Christmas Carol is suitable for all ages, some of the performances take place in our beautiful covered and heated outside areas, but warm clothing is advised .. and mulled wine, to keep you properly cosy throughout the show!

The plays put on at The Oak are always great fun and this was no exception. Our only gripe was that our tickets told us the performance started at 2pm, when in fact it didn't start until 2.30: we rushed through our lunch unnecessarily!
