Founded by Julie Bretland and Mark Collins, the name Artelium blends art and ium - Latin for ‘a place to congregate’ reflecting our philosophy of creating a space where people come together to enjoy exceptional wine, art, and food in a beautiful natural setting.

When you dine with us, you'll settle into our chic, contemporary tasting room / restaurant, complete with exposed beams and a wood burning stove, to enjoy bold natural flavours and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, whether you're here for a fireside lunch, candlelit dinner or our Sunday menu. Enjoy bold, seasonal flavours crafted from the finest Sussex produce: think locally sourced beef, South-Coast seafood, Sussex cheeses, and vegetables from our own kitchen garden, all thoughtfully paired with Artelium wines. In the summer, dining extends to our sun-drenched terrace which overlooks the vines, perfect for leisurely lunches and golden hour drinks.
