All friends are welcome at our ultimate night out featuring theatre, cocktails, puzzles and a chunk of 80s sci-fi nostalgia. 'The Lock In' is Sydney’s very own homage to the most awesome of decades and we’re ready to quite literally turn your world upside down.
Booking into The Lock In is accepting a one-way ticket to small town Indiana. Weird stuff has been going on at a top-secret government facility and a kid has gone missing. You and your associates are invited to step into the story, crack the codes and save the day... This is no PG-13 Goonies adventure. The lab is fixing up adults only hard liquor - and you’ll be conducting some alcoholic experiments yourself. There’s also a chance to be part of your own high school movie but at Heartstrings High, your teacher is actively encouraging you to make moonshine in science class.
All this to a soundtrack of your favourite 80s movie hits. The Lock In takes immersive theatre and an experiential bar and cranks it up to Eleven.

Curious Cartel
Curious Cartel is a team of Producers and Managers in television and pop up events. We have spent the last decade entertaining you and you didn’t even know us. Now we are marrying our love of immersive theatre with our passion for creating unique experiences and of course our interest in cocktails. Nothing phases us because we come from a background of people who have been told to ‘Make it Happen’. And we do.

All tickets to The Event are sold subject to the terms and conditions. ‘The Event’ refers to your booking time and date for the experience.
By purchasing tickets you acknowledge that you (and all your guests) have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions
The Event is strictly for guests 18 years and older and the Event Provider will operate a strict ID policy. You must provide a valid form of photographic identification to gain access to the event. Refunds will not be provided to those who are not admitted to the event as a result of failure to provide acceptable identification.
Entry to The Event is at the discretion of the Event Provider who reserves the right to reject any guests without refund for reasons of security and/or safety. Reasons to refuse entry include but are not restricted to:
o Unable to produce a valid ticket
o Behavior in a manner that reasonably interferes with other ticket holders' enjoyment of the Event
e.g. intoxication
o Refusal or unable to provide acceptable photographic identification
o Refusal to submit to a physical search or search of possessions
The Event Provider, the directors, employees, contractors or volunteers involved in the Event are not liable for any damage, loss, injury, illness or death to person or property arising from participation in the Event.
The Event Providers are indemnified against all costs, losses or damages arising from or in relation to the Event
Ticket holders must obey and accept Event rules and follow any instructions communicated on the day of the Event. Failure to obey and accept event rules may result in the removal from the Event with no refund.
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be returned for any reason including (but not restricted to) lost or stolen ticket, unable to or choosing not to attend the Event, the Event not meeting expectations, you have been refused entry or evicted from the Venue, parts or all of The Venue are temporarily unavailable for any reason, advertised events do not proceed.
Change of booking dates/time is permitted up to 2 times providing a minimum of 48 hours notice is given.
If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or the details are significantly changed we will contact you as soon as possible by email using the details you have supplied. If you do not receive this notification because you have not updated the email address that we hold for you, we cannot be held liable.
There are strict entry times to Curious Cartel Events. Please refer to event correspondence for specific times. The Event Provider is unable to accommodate late comers or reimburse tickets due to late arrivals.
You are not permitted to bring any items which may cause injury or nuisance to ticket holders, performers or any other person including (without limitation) alcohol, glass bottles and cans, illegal drugs, knives or weapons, flares, fireworks or sparklers, animals or pets (excluding guide dogs), recording or filming devices.
Food and or/drink is not permitted to be brought to the Event. Only items purchased at the Venue may be consumed during the Event.
The Event is licensed and no BYO alcohol is allowed. Proof of age will be required as a condition of supplying alcohol. In the interests of responsible service of alcohol, people who are deemed to be intoxicated will not be served. Alcohol may only be consumed within the licensed area.
Smoking is prohibited at the Venue.
Upon entry of the Venue you consent to being included in any film, photograph, audio and audiovisual recordings made by the Event Provider of the event. Any such materials may be exploited in any and all media (existing now or in the future) for any purpose at any time throughout the world.
The Event Provider reserves the right to use all personal information collected by using this site and/or purchasing tickets for communications regarding the Event and marketing communications after the Event. Should you wish to opt out of such communications please email info@curiouscartel.com
