Step into Guyshi Bar & Restaurant and you’re stepping into a world of Japanese dining like no other in Sheffield. Award-winning and shortlisted for Best New Restaurant and Best Restaurant awards, Guyshi brings the authentic flavours of Japan, the excitement of a Yakiniku charcoal grill, and an experience that’s all about choice, quality, and fun.

Here, you get the best of both worlds: if you want to try your hand at cooking, each table has a smokeless charcoal grill for guests to BBQ premium cuts of meat, seafood and vegetables themselves. But if you’d rather leave it to the experts, our Japanese-trained Head-Chef prepare a la carte dishes cooked to perfection, from sizzling kushiyaki skewers to melt-in-your-mouth A5 Wagyu. Either way, every bite is packed with flavour, and every meal is a celebration.

The menu goes far beyond the grill. Our premium sushi, sashimi, authentic Japanese small plates and the beloved Utage buffet give everyone something to love - whether you’re craving traditional favourites or adventurous flavours. And it doesn’t stop there: Guyshi hosts a constantly evolving calendar of special events, from Wagyu tastings and vegan tasting menus, to wine pairings and bottomless brunches in collaboration with local award-winning bars.
