They say the best things are kept secret and it’s definitely true of this Gin Palace Event. Held in a secret underground bar in the city, guests will receive a text on the day letting them know the location, heading down into the historic venue, you will be transported back to the 1930s. Where war is in full swing above ground, below in secret venues revellers enjoyed ration free alcohol and got their swing on forgetting the miseries of reality.
Expect exposed brickwork, botanical walls and a message board famous to the venue from 1930s when soldiers would leave messages and other soldiers would know to head down to retrieve their messages. You’ll be able to write messages in advance for other guests and see them up on the board!
On Friday 26th June starting at 7pm, you’re invited to enjoy a complimentary cocktail from one of the four Gin suppliers: City of London, Martin Miller, Bombay Sapphire and Whitley Neill Gin. Handcrafted by the reps to bring out the best of their botanics, then speak to the suppliers to find out more about the unique gin distilling processes and what makes their gins taste so good. You can then sample the brands perfect G&Ts, complete with the perfect garnish and enjoy them with perfectly matched ration packed canapés.
From 9pm the band (The Rocket Social) will be in full swing playing a mixture of swing and contemporary music sure to get you grooving. Check out The Rocket Social doing their thing below! Then at 10pm guests will be able to vote for their favourite G&T and you’ll be able to get the winner as a double for the price of a single all night!
Tickets are £10 per head and include a cocktail on arrival, sampling of G&Ts, canapés and live music. Tickets for the band only can be purchased at £3 starting at 9pm.
Please note, the bar will be serving food until 10pm for those still hungry!

2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
