Possessing a litany of influences ranging from noise rock, post-rock and math rock, pej are a band that strive to remain dynamic in their music. Formed at Reading University in late 2018, the band quickly grew a reputation in the local circuit, garnering attention wider than the typical student crowd. Through lockdowns and other pandemic consequences, the band reformed in late 2022. Their first single in three years, ‘100 Years of Solitude’, inspired by the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Gabriel Garcia Márquez, releases on Friday, 10th November.
Masquerader
Based out of Reading, UK - Masquerader is a math-punk band filtering the rhythmic dissent of math rock through the ferocious intensity of post-hardcore. Choosing to skip lead guitars, the band embrace a sparse and stripped-back dynamic as a three-piece, filling the sonic void with angular electronics and forefronting incisive bass guitar, complex drumwork and breakneck vocal delivery, all whilst referencing acts like Death Grips, Deftones, Glassjaw, Rolo Tomassi, and Show Me The Body. Masquerader have been in a constant DIY grind, carving out a scene in their Reading hometown under 'Nothing Will Change Events' and spreading their unique noise pollution across SE England. Their self-produced debut EP, ‘NOTHING WILL CHANGE’, was released on the 14th July 2023.

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
