Tup Tup Palace is a swanky venue that just oozes opulence with its indoor waterfalls and Loja sky bar; so if you're looking for an extravagant New Year's Eve venue in Newcastle, this could be the one for you. A "bohemian world of escapism, luxury and exotic eastern finery" - to put it their way - expect a fresh-to-death blend of RnB, hip-hop, house and electro tunes as well as a heaving dance floor as you count down to midnight.

For a sprinkle of elegance and glamour this NYE, you might as well have it As You Like It. A total sell out every year, this is one stunning spot to toast the start of 2017, with 4 bars and a smashing garden terrace found across its three floors. Come for a four-course feast or skip the grub and just pick up a bar ticket - either way there will be a live band and entertainment through ‘til 2am at one of our favourite choices for New Year’s Eve in Jesmond.

This venue plays home to some of Tyneside's best mixologists. Sporting flames, floral garnishes and origami cranes, the drinks whipped up here are truly a work of art. But these creative concoctions are just one fork in the terrific trident of this restaurant-cum-bar-cum-club. The menu on offer here is equally excellent, and with top quality DJs behind the decks, Bonbar is the perfect all-round venue for a NYE party in Newcastle.
