Nubeluz

Description

Nubeluz is a dazzling cocktail bar located on the 50th floor of The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, envisioned as a “lightbox in the sky.” Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and conceptualized by architect Rafael Viñoly, the space glows with back-lit velum panels, mirrored surfaces, glittering textiles, and onyx bar tops.

The bar offers 270-degree panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, flanked by two outdoor terraces that elevate the experience to a celestial level. The name itself combines the Spanish words “nube” (cloud) and “luz” (light), reflecting the ethereal ambiance that defines the venue.

Created by award-winning Chef José Andrés and operated by the José Andrés Group, Nubeluz features a cocktail program led by Miguel Lancha, a finalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Bar Program Award. The drinks blend heritage and innovation, with standout creations like the Foggy Hill, which includes mezcal, vermouth, Cynar, Aperol, and an aromatic orange-thyme cloud.

The menu also includes elevated small bites such as Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, smoked salmon with labneh and José Andrés potato chips, and a playful Bagel & Lox Cone. Nubeluz has quickly become a crown jewel in New York’s rooftop scene, celebrated for its immersive design, inventive mixology, and world-class hospitality.
