Overstory

Overstory is a high-concept cocktail bar located on the 64th floor of the historic 70 Pine Street building in New York City's Financial District. Designed with Art Deco elegance and a light earthy palette, the intimate lounge seats just 28 guests, with 12 coveted spots at the bar.

The space is surrounded by a wraparound terrace offering 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline, making it one of the city’s most visually stunning destinations. The interior evokes the glamour of 1940s international ocean travel, blending plush textures and sleek finishes with a cozy, elevated ambiance.

Owned and operated by Chef James Kent and Jeff Katz, the duo behind acclaimed restaurants Crown Shy and Saga, Overstory has quickly earned global recognition. It was named the 15th Best Bar in the World and received the inaugural Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award for its exceptional service. Beverage Director Harrison Ginsberg, formerly of The Dead Rabbit and BlackTail, leads the cocktail program, which features a rotating menu of inventive drinks like the Pink Tuxedo and The Last Frontier.

The bar also offers elevated small bites, such as a black truffle grilled cheese with aged Comté. Overstory’s blend of world-class mixology, warm hospitality, and breathtaking views makes it a standout in New York’s luxury bar scene.
