Manchester Brewery Tours launched in September 2016 with this very special walking tour of 3 Manchester microbreweries.

Tours running every month with private tours on request.

Your guide will meet you at Vimto Park near Piccadilly Station at 1pm. Click here for a map.

We'll then begin a stroll down to what has become known as the Piccadilly Beer Mile.

We will be visiting the following places for a special behind the scenes look at the fantastic breweries that have congregated in the industrial landscape of Manchester's railway arches.

The first stop of the day is at Beer Nouveau. Steve’s passion for brewing shines through on this tour where you will learn what goes into making great beer. Smells the hops and grains plus full tour of the brewery – and of course some tastings too!

Alphabet Brewery’s taproom is a short walk away for our second stop. We’ll taste the beers whilst you get chance to grab some delicious munch from GRUB’s weekly food festival. With live DJ’s inside the brewery, and amazing street art on the walls this is a great stop on the tour.

Cloudwater is rapidly becoming known throughout the world for their award winning beers. Our last stop of the day sees us visit the taproom for tastings of craft beer plus a take home bottle. Spend the rest of your evening at your leisure in the brewery tap after the tour.

A few more details

This tour is a leisurely afternoon stroll however does require some walking so be prepared and also remember to bring a brolly if it's raining. We expect all people to drink and behave responsibly so as to ensure that everyone enjoys the experience. This is an informative introduction to beer brewing and tasting rather than a p*** up in a brewery! The tour does not allow fancy dress. Large groups are welcome but must be prepared to behave so that it doesn't affect the enjoyment of others on the tour.

After the tour finishes then guests may wish to spend time visiting the other amazing taprooms in the area. We'll be staying around for a few ourselves!

Me and my boyfriend attended the microbrewery tour in Manchester on Saturday. All round the day was great and we got to taste a number of ales throughout the day. Unfortunately the only brewery tour we got was in the first brewery which was fantastic and the host was very enthusiastic and definitely knew his stuff! , all the others were more of a stop for a drink rather than an actual brewery tour. That was the only disappointing thing after paying£60 for us to attend. We would recommend this , but I wouldn't have high expectations on the actual 'brewery tours'. We would come back to the places we visited aswell as these are all open weekends.

Thanks for taking the time to review the tour Bethanie. We are always looking to make improvements. Unfortunately our usual 2nd stop at Carbon Smith is currently waiting to reopen to the public, so we would normally get an extra tour there. However, we do hope that you enjoyed the final stop at Cloudwater that was arranged as a replacement. Hopefully we'll be looking to do something more with them with regards to showing people around in future too. Thanks once again for your review and it was great having you down.
