New Bar Spy - What The Pitta

London's Favourite Vegan Kebabs Are Coming To Manchester For The First Time

What The Pitta

Opens

January 2021

The 2am post-pub snack of choice, döner kebabs don’t have the classiest (or healthiest) of reputations, but that is all about to change as What The Pitta journeys up north for the very first time.

Specialising in all things vegan kebabs, this award-winning brand counts grime artiste JME and Sadiq Khan among its fans. Starting out as a street food stall in Shoreditch back in 2016, What The Pitta now has four venues across London and Brighton.

Originally set to open in May, Covid-19 has meant the big day has been pushed back to the start of 2021 - just in time for Veganuary. On the menu? You can expect a variety of kebabs, as well as mezze boxes, gyros and oh-so-tasty falafel.

While the location of this new Manc spot is yet to be confirmed, we do know that it will have space to seat 80-100 patrons. And if the previous clientele is anything to go by? Don’t be surprised if you find yourself sitting next to a famous face or two.
