Pier Eight

Description

Pier Eight is a multimillion pound restaurant extension to The Lowry's Theatre and Gallery. Named after its address on Salford Quays, this new space will seat up to 300 guests - serving up food and drink to both pre-theatre diners as well as those simply looking for a relaxed dining experience around MediaCityUK.

The interior here takes influence from northern European design, with a calming colour palette and range of delicate textures and design details. Seating styles vary from contemporary armchairs, to intimate booths and longer tables for larger groups, emulating the relaxed and welcoming environment created by the expansion. There's also a special 'chef's table' which allows up to eight diners to sit in the kitchen with the restaurant team! On top of that, the venue uses two shipping containers to create an event space and terrace areas - providing guests with an exceptional view over the Manchester ship canal.

In terms of the wares on offer here, Pier Eight will serve up two modern British menus that focus on local flavours - there's a casual dining bar menu alongside a formal restaurant menu.
