Bundobust

Description

Bundobust Manchester Piccadilly helped cement the brand's reputation as one of the UK's most exciting independent restaurant groups. Opened in 2016, the venue occupies a spacious basement just moments from Piccadilly Gardens, combining a striking restored atrium ceiling with long communal tables and an energetic, open-plan layout. Inspired by Indian canteens, European beer halls and contemporary taprooms, it offers a laid-back setting that feels equally suited to a quick lunch, post-work drinks or a leisurely feast with friends.

The restaurant is known for its entirely vegetarian menu, developed by founders Mayur Patel and Marko Husak, which reimagines Indian street food traditions through a modern lens. Guests are encouraged to share a selection of small plates, from Vada Pav sliders and Bundo Chaat to the much-loved Okra Fries, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options available. A carefully curated craft beer list, alongside cocktails and house favourites, forms a key part of the experience, making Bundobust a destination for both food and drink lovers.

Since opening, the Piccadilly site has attracted widespread acclaim from critics and diners alike, helping propel Bundobust from a Yorkshire success story into a nationally recognised brand.
