One of the best-looking additions to the Deansgate restaurant scene, Kai, a Turkish mezze bar and grill restaurant is all about matching elegant, eye-catching decor with delicious food.

Taking over from the former Prezzo, this gorgeous eatery from the team behind Zouk Tea Bar comes decked out in chequerboard floors, navy leather seating and a stunning flower installation running across the ceiling. The food too is a site to behold, as chefs prepare a range of delicious Turkish cuisine, from juicy kebabs to hot and cold mezze, including hummus, babaganush and borek all within an open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant.

As for the drinks list, the bar boasts a small menu of wines from the region and a few carefully curated cocktails that put a Turkish spin on those classic drinks. The sips on offer include a raki Negroni, an Antalaya Sour and even an Istanbul Cosmopolitan, which mixes Absolut Citron with a touch of pomegranate for a heady and refreshing drink.
