Sitting elegantly in the equally opulent Palace Hotel, The Refuge is the newest hotel restaurant to open in central Manchester, serving a selection of both traditional British classics and flavoursome international dishes.
The brainchild of DJs Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford, the venue shares much in common with its sister restaurant, Volta, which has already reaped considerable success, effortlessly storming up the city's diverse culinary ladder.
Of course, the central focus of this new hangout is the food menu. Head chef Alex Worrall has worked tirelessly with his crack team of creative pioneers to deliver a menu that amalgamates various tastes from across the world. Alongside the array of small plates, such as the sea bass ceviche and radicchio, pomegranate and orange blossom salad, guests can also enjoy some of the finest grilled cuts of meat, including the seasoned lamb shoulder, slow cooked and served alongside harissa and refreshing yoghurt.
