Real Junk Food

Description

Real Junk Food is a not for profit organisation that sources food that would otherwise go to waste to create lunches and breakfasts. The company started as a pop-up and following an incredibly successful crowd-fund, it has opened a permanent restaurant on Oxford Street.

The restaurant is open throughout the week with two chefs creating an ever-changing menu from materials saved from supermarkets and chains. Diners are then invited to pay what they feel. The quirky decor is created from upcycled materials, including bathtubs and pallet bars. Coffee is available, in partnership with Second City Coffee, which is chargeable, and the venue hope to start selling alcohol soon.
