Rabbit In The Moon

Description

Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs’ GG Hospitality have unveiled an experimental ‘Space Age Asian’ restaurant at the Urbis building in Manchester.

The restaurant has done away with tradition and authenticity by utilising Asian ingredients and dishes in completely different ways. This futurist mentality has bled into the design, with sleek black surfaces, floor-to-ceiling panelled windows and light-shades shaped to act like mini moons; all of which lends to a space age aesthetic.

The restaurant offers a 17 course taster menu composed of the experimental recipes, with names such as the nearly eponymous ‘Moon Rabbit’ or ‘Pain au Unagi’, which are both intriguing to hear and behold. It's by using conventional flavours this way that the venue is able to create original, theatrical food. The dishes are accompanied by a bespoke cocktail list specifically designed to compliment their unique flavours.
