Re-launching Chorlton’s Food Festival with Sup- Up & Eat.

Chorlton’s free food festival celebrating independent & regional producers of great food & drink.

Chorlton Green will play host to the Sup-Up & Eat Food & Drink festival on the bank holiday Saturday 24^th May. This free festival will showcase new & independent producers of great food & drink. The day will be filled with free demonstrations & tastings. Local & regional producers & makers will be talking guests through their produce throughout the day. 

Highlights include a chilli-eating contest using the world’s hottest chillies (the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga). The evening events kick- start with the local Cholrton Oddbins who will be taking guests on a journey of bubbly, from the popular to the delicious lesser known styles of fizz. The day will eventually be rounded off with a whisky & food pairing session lead by the UK’s whisky only specialist; The Whisky Shop. 

The festival is set on the backdrop of Chorlton’s leafy Green, with music from local artists, a farmers’ market & craft fair where guests can gather & take home their favourite produce from the day. 

As a pre-cursor to the food festival the Horse & Jockey pub will be hosting an exclusive night called, A Taste of Italian Opera on the 23^rd May. Diners will be treated to a Prosecco reception & a three-course Italian dinner in the restaurant overlooking the Green while listening to Italian opera performed by a prize-winning operatic ensemble.
