RHS Garden Bridgewater

Tucked away in the heritage-rich heart of Worsley, Salford, RHS Garden Bridgewater is one of Greater Manchester’s most spectacular green escapes - a modern horticultural marvel rooted in centuries of history. 

Open daily from 10am to 4pm (except Christmas Day), the 154-acre garden is a constantly evolving landscape full of seasonal colour, immersive experiences and clever design. Book online in advance to save, or stroll straight in for free if you’re an RHS Member.

Inside, you’ll find an ever-changing lineup of highlights, from the lush Weston Walled Garden to sweeping lakes, wildflower meadows, glasshouses, woodlands and beautifully curated planting that shifts with the seasons. Little ones are more than welcome too: families can embark on a charming 'Guess How Much I Love You' garden trail, bringing the beloved picture books to life among the leaves and pathways. But the winter showstopper? That’s RHS Glow, an after-dark spectacle that transforms the garden into a glittering world of lights, colour and magical installations. Think illuminated trees, glowing pathways and a fairytale atmosphere that makes even the chilliest evenings feel spellbinding.

Beyond the gardens themselves, visitors can enjoy a bite to eat at the on-site cafés, pick up gorgeous plants and gifts at the Garden Centre, or simply explore the wider grounds at their own pace. And with buses, bikes and car routes easy to navigate, getting here is a breeze.
