The Bridgewater Hall

Description

The Bridgewater Hall stands as Manchester’s premier international concert venue - a sleek, purpose-built home for music in all its forms. Designed from the ground up to deliver world-class acoustics, the Hall 'floats' on almost 300 giant springs that isolate it from the hum of the city outside.

Hosting over 300 events a year, it’s a cultural powerhouse that balances prestige with breadth, drawing audiences into an environment crafted with obsessive attention to sound.

At its core, the Hall is the proud home of the Hallé orchestra and a regular stage for the BBC Philharmonic, anchoring Manchester’s rich classical tradition. Its own International Concert Series brings exceptional artists from around the world, while partnerships with promoters and charities ensure a diverse and ever-evolving calendar.

Built through a public-sector vision - funded by Manchester City Council, the Central Manchester Development Corporation and the European Regional Development Fund - and now managed by Legends Global, The Bridgewater Hall is both an architectural statement and a civic achievement.
