Museum of Illusions Manchester

Description

Part of the world’s largest chain of private museums70+ locations, 30 countries and more than 22 million visitors — Museum of Illusions made its UK debut on Manchester’s Market Street in 2024. Inside, more than 65 hands-on exhibits and illusion rooms turn perception upside down, including a Manchester exclusive: a Reversed Room where visitors dangle off the side of a Metrolink-inspired tram.

The city-centre museum is bright, interactive and built for cameras — think the balance-wrecking Vortex Tunnel, the size-shifting Ames Room and a Walk-in Kaleidoscope — with the science behind every trick explained along the way. The whole space is available for private hire, from corporate events and team days to hen parties and children’s birthday parties.

Individual regular admission adult tickets are £25.50, with children aged 5–14 at £21.50 and under-4s free — plus exclusive group rates, venue buy-out discounts and packages for team building, hen dos and birthdays of all ages.

And the exhibits aren’t the only highlight: the Brain Gym challenges the senses with mind-bending puzzles, and the Smart Shop sends visitors home with a pocketful of them.

Full Museum Buy-Out — Exclusive Hire Venue Hire 50 200 - £1000 £2000

The ultimate backdrop for an unforgettable event. A full buy-out hands over the entire Museum of Illusions — 65+ interactive illusions, the Brain Gym and the Smart Shop — exclusively to one group, right on Market Street in the heart of the city.

It works because the icebreakers are built in. Networking events start themselves when guests are dangling off a tram or shrinking inside the Ames Room. Product launches get a venue that literally changes how people see things — MOI museums worldwide have hosted launches for brands like Samsung and Jim Beam. Music videos and podcasts get a building full of ready-made sets: the Vortex Tunnel, the Walk-in Kaleidoscope, infinity mirrors. And conferences and meetings get a mid-agenda jolt no hotel function room can match.

Team-building add-ons, scavenger hunts and catering packages available. Enquire for dates, rates and a walkthrough.
