Winter is fast approaching, and with it the chance to dig out your best festive jumpers, wrap up warm, and indulge in some hearty food and drink.
Cosy Manchester bar Lock 91 is bringing the festive cheer early this year, with a series of winter street food parties on their canal side terrace. Taking place on Friday 25 October and Friday 1 November, the evening events offer the perfect introduction to the festive season for those who can't wait for the Christmas markets, with a range of warming street food and seasonal carol singers.
The winter BBQ will be serving up a selection of burgers and bratwurst sausages, as well as more exotic options including turkish kebabs served with flatbread and cous cous. 'Tis the season to stuff your face, so as well as the barbecued winter fayre, a range of hearty desserts including warming apple strudel and custard or traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce will also be available.
