The Warehouse Project have today revealed the massive line ups for this year's New Year's Eve and New Year's Day closing parties.
The biggest club in the city had big boots to fill after the most hotly anticipated Warehouse Project Season ever, which has already included international superstars like Modeselektor, Richie Hawtin and Seth Troxler, with much more still to come including perhaps the most colossal show yet, with Essex electronic music maniacs The Prodigy. The closing parties this year have a much more significant role after the announcement that in 2014 the Warehouse Project will take a break from its current 12 weekly format to produce a "handful of special events", in the build up to celebrating 10 fantastic years at the top of Manchester club life in 2015.
The line ups for New Year's Day and New Year's Eve at The Warehouse Project are notoriously large, bringing together a conglomerate of underground and international stars. And this year is no different, with Annie Mac taking up her mantel as the DJ to deliver us via a thumping and jacking bass line into welcoming arms of 2014.
Once the party poppers and champagne corks have been cleared and the hangovers are in retreat it's time to go again on NYD, with the final party of the season being headed up by non other that Jamie Jones and Carl Craig. The closing party opens its doors to the baying house and techno hungry crowds at 5pm and doesn't shut them again until they've used their rough edged pummelling techno fists to tear the cavernous warehouse atmosphere to the ground at 5am.
These are line ups worthy of few clubs, and fortunately for us, The Warehouse Project is one of them. For 12 weeks this city is theirs, and for 12 weeks the Warehouse Project is ours.
