Northern Quarter delicatessan receives a woodland themed overhaul

While news of the Fyg overhaul has been rife in the Northern Quarter, we don't think Manchester patrons were expecting quite such a re-branding. With new owners at the helm, arriving from Cord and neighbouring Simple, Fyg has enveloped itself in in wood for a wholly rustic make-over, name and all. Re-opening as Wood. this March in Manchester, this new late night lounger and deli bar retains its stake as one of the Northern Quarter's only booze laden delicatessans, with a few sprightly themed flecks to boot.

Laying their simple interiors aside for a completely wooden uptake, Wood. opens in the place of Northern Quarter deli, Fyg.

From tree trunk carved stools and a geometric wooden bar front to tables doused in upcycled wood, it's clear that Wood. are sticking to their name's theme. Whilst this new Northern Quarter plot is set to retain the atmosphere of its once deli interior, Wood. will also boast meat and cheese platters strewn upon wooden boards, and a selection over 50 different international bottles of wine to boot for those after a little laid back lounging; be that for night nibbles or a late brunch.
