Live from Jodrell Bank offers one of the most unique locations for live music in and around Manchester
Live From Jodrell Bank is presented over four days in July and August and features fantastic music, innovative entertainment and a setting that you won't be able to mimic at any other festival. Situated 30 minutes away from Manchester at The University of Manchester's Jodrell Bank Observatory, this summer's line-up includes well-known names such as Sigur Ros, New Order, Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and Daughter.
Since the festival launched in 2011, headlined by The Flaming Lips, it has grown in reputation and been recognised accordingly. Winning a number of awards such as Best Outdoor Event in 2011 and Best Extra Activity in 2012, this year sees it branch out to four days with four exceptional headliners including Salford's very own New Order.
This year's headliners include New Order, Sigur Ros and The Australian Pink Floyd Show
July 7th will see the legendary New Order not only headline, but also curate the rest of the line-up for the day hand-picking some of Manchester's finest talent including The Smith's guitarist Johnny Marr. The previous day will see the almighty Australian Pink Floyd Show play a captivating set celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of seminal album The Dark Side Of The Moon, and with the band having been dubbed "The Best Tribute Band In The World" by The Times, we can't wait to see if they're right!
Ticket prices vary depending on what day you fancy heading down, but you'll be looking at just over £100 for a camping weekend ticket - which is an absolute bargain for an experience that you will not find anywhere else on this summer's festival circuit.
