Remember those cute little greenhouses in Amsterdam? Well, Manchester is also set to get its very own version this summer. Popping up on Salford Quays, Box on the Docks is a new socially distant dining experience comprising of 30 deluxe sheds and greenhouses. Stretching from the gardens along to MediaCityUK's waterfront, the series of cabins have been designed with HemingwayDesign, as well as local, self-employed artists who will be adding their unique spin to the spaces.
Along with providing a safe and socially distant way to dine this summer, the cabins are created in partnership with the area's restaurants. Names including The Alchemist (hello, gorgeous cocktails), beautiful The Botanist, and beer-crazy The Dockyard will all be on hand to feed and water you, alongside offerings from Prezzo, Wagamama and plant-based Vertigo. And if you're not after a dining experience, there will be plenty of outdoor seating to sip on coffee with views over the water.
Box on the Docks will be opening at MediaCityUK at the end of July, with 30 private cabins available for hire. For more restaurants that are opening for bookings, check out our list here.
