Thaikhun

Description

Now Open

Brought to Manchester by the same masterminds behind luxury Thai dining Chaophraya, Thai Leisure Group present the city with a more laid back alternative to dining in the shape of new street food restaurant and bar, Thaikhun.

Pronounced 'tycoon', Thaikhun boasts the space for up to 150 diners in the midst of a wholly rustic and somewhat traditional setting. Split between intimate bar and booming restaurant area, guests will be plunged into a lounge space of lanterns, a collection of food carts, an open plan kitchen and an industrial smattering of wood, making for a half-authentic, half-contemporary setting.

Set to be customer orientated and wholly laid-back, Thaikhun's dishes stick to a solely street food theme offering a more Bangkok orientated selection of soups and grilled food, whether guests are after dinner, or just a light snack. Served alongside an Eastern selection of cocktails, beers and wines alike, Thaikhun's theme remains prominent throughout their entire food and drink menu.

Thaikhun - Restaurant Bar Review

It felt like a Bear Grylls episode in Manchester's CBD, slipping between buildings while mother nature was scorning me with icy cold winds and the odd projectile. I also know how Bear feels when the camera man goes to sleep, and he is able to escape to to his safe haven - but what would that be for me…
