Odd Bar

Description

One of the original and most popular drinking dens in Manchester's Northern Quarter, Odd Bar has been bringing great booze and fabulous food to the area for over a decade. There are two bars, one downstairs, one upstairs serving real local ales, wines, an array of handpicked spirits, lovingly created cocktails and some tasty food to tuck into. What is so unique about this bar is its ability to be eccentric and stylish while avoiding pretension. Bare brickwork, random pieces of artwork, taxidermy, and a mixture of upholstery all contribute to the 'odd' theme of the bar, but even amongst the busy décor its not hard to see this bar still has a beating heart.

The warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a great spot to chill out with friends and family in a comfortable atmosphere. The upstairs area also has a great view of the streets below, so you can watch the world go by as you sit cosily by the window. There are plenty of free events to enjoy, with Quizimodo bringing weird and wonderful rounds of knowledge and silliness every Wednesday, special one-off events & DJs (check their social media for upcoming happenings), plus on weekends the legendary UK-wide Gold Teeth clubnight (Fridays) & DJ Leo Menace (Tramlines, Notting Hill Carnival, Sankeys, Ritz) filling up the upstairs dancefloor till 2am with superb party tunes.  Need a chill after a busy weekend? Local songsmiths The Wicked Path invite musician friends along every Sunday for a night of free live Americana & Blues - the perfect way to wrap up the weekend!

And if you just can't get enough Odd, head to sister bar Oddest in Chorlton.
