Apotheca is a quirky, buzzing and lively cocktail and DJ bar in the heart of the Northern Quarter in Manchester. If ever a bar was aptly named then this is it, Apotheca meaning "One who prepares and sells drugs or compounds for medicinal purposes". This is certainly the ethos and inspiration behind Apotheca as you will find out as you step through the doors and find antique pharmacy cabinets adorning the centre-piece and full to the brim of cocktail delights.
Exposed brickwork, bistro tables and street art from local artists provide a contemporary feel but it's the cocktails and music that bring in a young and lively crowd. Downstairs there is an intimate yet spacius basement lounge bar with a rich red carpet, mahogany cabinets and a smattering of black leather sofas and pouffs perfect for private hires. The kitchen serves up pizzas, burgers, sharing platters and sandwiches that do a pretty good job at complimenting the cocktails. Weekends party DJs hit up party bangers making this a popular bar in Manchester.
