Corbieres Wine Cavern is a hidden gem of a Manchester bar and one for the little black book of impressing your friends when heading out for a drink on King Street. Discreetly located down a dimly lit side street, descend the stairs to find a cavernous drinking den with a buzzing atmosphere. Oak barrels, a cave-like roof and splendid lighting add to the feeling of drinking in a rather special place in Manchester.

The drinks list is all about  wine and it is happily affordable at that. A cracking range of French wines will see you well, but there is a good mix of beers available including a thirst-quenching Bohemia Lager from the Czech Republic. The crowd is mixed but full of catch-ups, shoppers, date nights and those looking to escape the busy streets above.

The icing on the cake here is the jukebox which certainly ranks highly in the Manchester jukebox stakes. Pick your way through a soundtrack of rock n roll, indie classics, local bands and everything in between leaving you perfectly contented with your trip down to this cave of good times.
