Vermilion & Cinnabar brings a flavour of the East to east Manchester! It’s an oasis of opulence and lavishness that’s not too far from Manchester City FC’s Etihad Stadium, and which essentially presents two venues in one; the magnificent Vermilion Restaurant and the fabulous, eye-catching Cinnabar.

The interior of both has been created by the Miguel Cancio Martins design house (which worked on Man Ray in Paris and Opium in London) and includes a beautiful selection of Asian antiquities - then the Eastern influence continues in the menus, which present Authentic Royal Thai and Majestic Indian dishes. There is a focus on fresh seafood (the restaurant is owned by the UK’s largest prawn importer!) - really delicious and great for celebrations or impressing your other half, but book an early table. Service isn’t quick, and there can be a back-log later in the evening.

Cinnabar is an eye-catching destination bar open Thursday-Saturday, with fantastic cocktails, casual seating throughout plus six semi-secluded ‘cocoon beds’ and its own state-of-the-art sound system pumping out electro pop, UK Garage and club anthems from DJs GC and Damien Johnstone. Also on site is the Abacus Gallery, which includes a separate private dining room for 20 people - in fact, each of the spaces can be hired out separately!

Thought we'd give this a go, ended up a bit pricey for us but if we had the money we'd definitely be going back a lot!!
