Manchester’s buzzing secret bar scene has just got a shiny new addition, and it’s promising fresh trims and even better cocktails.
ONE EIGHT SIX is a barber shop-cum-cocktail bar and live music venue. Set in the Grade II listed former courthouse building on Deansgate, this place is decked out with industrial style interiors and original heavy prison doors.
Head here for a styling service and you may just find yourself slipping through a two-way mirrored door and down into the basement drinking den. With live music seven days a week, you can expect the very best soul, RnB and Motown music, as well as a few surprise residencies.
Opening just in time for Christmas, this cabaret style club hopes to become Manchester’s home of debauchery, with low-sunken booths, table service and a laissez-faire dancing-on-the-tables policy.
